Named for the great dragon that once dwelled in the bay, Dragonport has grown from a small village with a single pier into one of the most vital ports on its coast. A constant flux of cargo travels to and from its many docks. Dragonport benefits less from this activity than does a trading city such as Guildport, however: It is designed to facilitate passage of goods and collection of taxes for ships leaving Sador, not to encourage local business. The port across from it Blockshore takes care of the ships entering.
Any ships leaving Sador must check in at Dragonport before leaving to check that they have paid taxes on the cargo and have a valid “Pass Port Document.” The Sador navy has a strong presence nearby and ready to spring into action should a ship try and go through without checking in. This is the only way in or out for ships.
Dragonport is officially ruled by a council of governors.
